How much will a session cost?
I suggest we meet for an initial 30 minute session, which will be £30. Subsequent sessions will last for 50 minutes and will cost from £50.
How often will we meet?
We will usually meet on a weekly basis. We will agree a day and a time at our initial meeting. Ideally we will meet on the same day and at the same time each week, however there will be times when this is not possible and for me this is not set in stone.
Why have a short initial meeting?
Choosing a therapist is very personal; one-size does not fit all. This is an opportunity for you to decide if we are able to work together. You need to feel comfortable with me, as I believe the relationship between therapist and client is crucial to the counselling process.
What if I decide I don't want to continue?
That's fine, I wish you well in your search for a counsellor who suits your needs. If you decide to work with me I ask you to commit to a notice period of four weeks.
How long will it take?
That depends very much upon the issue you bring. You may decide to focus on a specific issue and we will agree upon a time frame together, alternatively you may wish to work in an open ended way, if we agree this is more appropriate for your needs.
